Littlehampton Shopmobility, which has been serving the needs of the residents and visitors to Littlehampton and surrounding areas for over ten years, has recently been awarded a grant under the Big Lottery's "Awards for All" scheme. The grant is to be used exclusively for improving information technology used by this local Charity.

Barry Leroy-Baker, Chairman, said "This award will enable us to give disabled individuals a better chance in life. The objectives of our Charity are the sale and hire of mobility vehicles and other such items to give freedom of movement to people restricted by lack of mobility. With improved communications we will be able to keep members more informed and may encourage other members to get involved or volunteer in an administration or fundraising capacity as it will assist in developing their computer skills. We will be helping to achieve healthier and more active people and communities as more disabled people will be able to be active and start to enjoy and benefit from being out and about, enjoying the town and its facilities, the beach and river. Individuals may not be aware of the opportunities we provide and the possibilities these open up for them to enjoy."

For more information about Littlehampton Shopmobility, call in to see us at 1-5 St Martins Lane. We are open Monday-Friday 10.00 - 4.00 and on Saturdays from 9.00-1.00. Alternatively telephone us on (01903) 733004 or check our website www.littlehamptonshopmobility.co.uk
